The UAF Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) offers a finance concentration for students interested in banking, asset management, private wealth, and corporate finance. Studying finance at UAF offers rigorous coursework, career networking opportunities in and outside of Alaska, and the personalized attention of small class sizes.
BBA finance students can opt for in-person or online classes, depending on what best meets your needs. Study in Fairbanks and take advantage of the incredible outdoor recreation options, the small, friendly community, and an engaged and active faculty and campus community. Study online, and take advantage of reasonable tuition rates, small class sizes, and courses recognized by Quality Matters for their excellence in online education. Or mix-and-match online and in-person classes for greater flexibility.
Both online and in-person students will learn by doing. Finance students manage a stock portfolio worth $1.5 million; they visit the Alaska Permanent Fund, the U.S.’s largest sovereign wealth fund, and the state Department of Revenue, and a variety of asset managers in Anchorage and Juneau. Students also have the opportunity to travel to NYC to attend the largest asset management conference for students in the U.S.; or participate in the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) research challenge.
The Bachelor of Business Administration has achieved accreditation from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), ensuring the degree meets rigorous standards and delivers a solid management education.
